Swiss Medtech General Assembly 2026

All employees of Swiss Medtech member companies are invited to attend the annual General Meeting.

This 2026 General Meeting is special. Why? Because for the first time, it will be held in Italian-speaking Switzerland – in Lugano! A varied programme awaits you, and we are pleased to welcome our guest of honour Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis.

Below is a overview of the schedule.

Sunday evening, 17 May 2026: Invitation from Swiss Medtech Ticino
If you are able to, you can arrive the day before the official meeting. Our colleagues at Medtech Ticino are hosting a get-together featuring Ticino specialties at the Restaurant al Lido on Sunday evening (6:00 pm). Many thanks to the Ticino team!

Overnight accommodation is at the attendees' own expense.

Monday morning, 18 May 2026: Company visits & Committee meetings
The following Swiss Medtech committees are organising on-site visits to companies and hospitals. The start times (from 10:00 am / 10:30 am respectively) have been set to allow time for participants travelling to Lugano on Monday morning.

Foreign Trade Specialist Group: Plastifil SA, Mendrisio*
E-Business Specialist Group: EOC – Ospedale Regionale di Lugano Civico*
Sustainability Specialist Group: Medacta International SA, Castel San Pietro*
Dental Section: Intensiv SA, Montagnola

* These visits are also open to Swiss Medtech members whose companies are not represented on the respective committee.

The MiGeL Specialist Group will also be holding its committee meeting at this time.

Monday noon, 18 May 2026: Stand-up lunch
All participants are invited to a stand-up lunch at the Hotel Splendide Royal (12.30 pm – 2.30 pm).

Monday afternoon, 18 May 2026: Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting with our guest of honour, Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis, will take place from 2.45 pm to 4.45 pm. Check-in opens at 2.30 pm. Members entitled to vote received the documents by email on 22 April.
