Dr Christina Ziegenberg to strengthen Swiss Medtech
We are very pleased to announce that Dr Christina Ziegenberg is joining Swiss Medtech as of January 2027. She will take over as Head of Innovation and Regulation and also assume a position on our Executive Board.
With Christina Ziegenberg, we are gaining a proven expert and a well-connected figure from the medical technology sector. She has been working for BVMed (the German Federal Association for Medical Technology) since 2019 and is currently serving as Deputy Managing Director and Head of Regulatory Affairs.
Prior to leading the Medical Devices and Radiation Protection Department within the Office of Public Health for the Liechtenstein State Administration, Christina Ziegenberg acted as a chemical development engineer at the Hilti Group. She studied pharmacy at the University of Vienna before earning a PhD in Medical Sciences.
Christina's many years of experience in medical technology have enabled her to establish a broad network throughout European and international medtech sectors. She is currently Vice-Chair of the Regulatory Affairs Committee for Medical Devices at the European medical technology association, MedTech Europe. She also maintains excellent connections with the American association, AdvaMed.
We are very much looking forward to collaborating with Christina and working together to further develop our activities in the areas of innovation and regulation.
A native of Vienna, she and her husband are planning to move to Switzerland with their four children.
