The product registration obligation provided for in the Ordinances MedDO and IvDO will come into force on 1 July 2026. Swissmedic has developed the ‘Swiss Database on Medical Devices’ (swissdamed) for this purpose, which is already mandatory for the registration of economic operators. The partially revised IvDV will come into force on 1 January 2025.
